Our worlds around us might have changed, yet the wonder about the mysteries of life always remained. It might be this mystery that keeps us connected to our ancestors, who asked themselves the same questions as you do when you gaze at the night sky and contemplate the meaning of life.
Already thousands of years ago in ancient Mesopotamia mystics were observing nature and interpreting the changes within nature's cyclical rhythms in correlation with the changing planetary positions. In the early days, the changing star constellations were seen as omens sent by the gods and thus catalysed the research and study of them, as people were trying to grasp the meaning behind, what the gods had to tell them.
Only when the Sumerians advanced in their mathematics and developed a written language, they could actually track the cycles and measure the distinct positions of the sun and moon, which then evolved into the two scientifically branches of Astronomy and Astrology. At that moment in time, there still were closely intertwined and both were centred around the geocentric worldview.
Over time they used the zodiac as a yardstick of celestial time, divided into 12 equal segments.
For these segments, they then chose twelve stellar constellations to represent them. These are what we now know as the Zodiac signs.
The first work ever published about astrology was the Tetrabiblos by Ptolemy (100 – 178 AD), which still today is one of the most revered astrology works ever written in history.
The Tetrabiblos contains core techniques of astrology used to this day, including planets, zodiac signs, houses, and aspects.
It was only through the influence of Hermeticism throughout the renaissance that the idea that the planets could actually macrocosmically resemble microcosmical progress got more widely accepted and the art of natal chart interpretation and horoscopes spread amongst the people.
Here the idea that each personality has an ideal form rooted deep within emerged. We can call those roots the soul or our higher self. Or we can see them as a random coding in our DNA.
It does not matter. What matters is that the roots are there.
These roots represent patterns of core desires we must seek to fulfill for the sake of our own peace. It is a blueprint for the happiest, most abundant, most spiritually creative path of growth available within this lifetime. All deviations from the ideal growth pattern symbolized by the birthchart are usually accompanied by a sense of aimlessness, emptiness, and anxiety.
So you might stumble around doing years of psychotherapy trying to pin down what one glance at your chart could reveal.
However, all that juice can go in one ear and out the other. Astrology does not change people any more than psychotherapy. What creates change is the conscious effort to do so. Nobody else can do that for anyone.
It’s a You vs. You thing Its hedonistic.
Astrology can only remind you of who you are and why you are here.
And this is why I am here to help you understand this language.I am here to give you a deeper understanding of what has happened in your life and what is going to come, so you can feel really empowered in it.
